Searching For A Substitute

I joined Ravelry in my mid teens and for about 5 years was a daily visitor. I dreamed in knitting. I had a project in my bag at all times. Eventually I started working but I spent my lunch break on the rav forums. I soon walked into a mental and physical breakdown which left me with multiple chronic illnesses and was unable to knit for years... and when I was I found that Ravelry gave me migraines and neurological symptoms that, while something I'm already prone to, had never been triggered by a website before.

Ah, shit. I can tell already I will have to finally learn HTML for this.

I can use the pattern search on dark mode for 10 minutes max, but I have set up my own project journal on Notion to avoid looking at the site for too long. Honestly, I'm so upset by the attitude of TPTB regarding internet accessibility (some of which was pre-existing it turns out, which I had been unaware of :() that I am not sure I would want to use the forums again even if I could. So I am making profiles elsewhere in the hope that I can tap into a knitting community somewhere. It gets lonely here in my sick bed.

Where are the knitters? How does Dreamwidth work?? Am I doing it right??? My only other social media experience is Facebook and Tumblr so this feels very odd. I don't do long form posts anywhere and I don't know how to talk to nobody without feeling self conscious lmao
